We made these penguins today, as we welcomed December. This is my current (and favorite) bulletin board. The fabric I use pretty much year-round and the snowflakes are ornaments I bought the day after Christmas.
Do you have a pattern for these little guys? Do you give each student a pre done idea? I do a really cute idea with penguin blubber that also helps my kindergarteners understand why they are not cold in the winter...maybe you have done this already though :)
Thank you...I was able to print it. I appreciate all your wonderful ideas. I was told I can not place my photos on the ccsd website so I guess I too will have to make a blog to share ideas with you :) Thanks again
Kindergarten is my "thing" and I adore teaching. In May 2007, I received my B.A. from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in Elementary Education. 2017 was my tenth (and last) year teaching kindergarten. I taught full- and half-day (AM/PM) kindergarten, as well as taught tuition-based all-day kindergarten for two years. Using my scrapbooking and crafting skills, I prefer to make my own classroom materials and learning centers/stations. All of these materials are aesthetically pleasing to the kindergarten child. I create about half of my student sheets to cater to my students' abilities. I constantly self-reflect and modify lessons and tools to benefit my kindergartners. My students keep me on my toes.
