Composing

Here's a pocket chart I cut into half. Then, I used tape to create a ten frame. We use it to compose and decompose in math centers.

Also, I flash a number card and the students use counters and their own ten frames to make that number.

Rainbow to 5

My kids loved this, from http://littlestscholars.blogspot.com/2012/03/ways-to-make-5-rainbow.html. We also completed the "Rainbow to 10."

Full-Day Kindergarten

We are offering full-day kindergarten again for the 2013-2014 school year. I made these signs for the campus, however, one didn't even last 24 hours.

"Kindergarden" Sprouts

This year I used cups rather than a water table for planting. The children were able to take home their cups prior to spring break, complete with a little sign. I used puffy paint to write every student's name. Waterproofing was a must.

The sign reads, "I have sprouted in kinder'garden.'"
