FOSS Kit

In our science kit, we are exploring animals. We made these this week, as we observe our fish.

I got the idea from Family Fun magazine.

Here are our two habitats.

Toby & Giggles

I put the fish under the Elmo so every one could see them without crowding. The students have been observing them in small groups, during our centers. They have to write about the fish in their journals.

Sending a Letter

We have been reviewing the rules for Mailbox Center, since I had to take it away and now I am bringing it back. I wrote about how I use the center here. I started with the www.brainpopjr.com video, "Sending a Letter". Then, we took the online quiz.

We used a flow map to brainstorm and sequence.

Then we used our maps to write 4 sentences.
